District Welcomes New Board Members and Thanks those Departing
Danny Peterson and Claire Wilson were sworn in as new members of the Board of Education at a meeting December 13. Tony Moore, who was reelected to the board, was also sworn in at the meeting. Outgoing board members Suzanne Smith and Amye Bronson-Doherty were thanked for their service. Smith and Bronson-Doherty helped implement SBE and a policy governance system. They also helped guide a superintendent search and hire Superintendent Rob Neu. Board members are elected for four-year terms.
The Federal Way Board of Education now includes members, from left to right, Danny Peterson, Tony Moore, Claire Wilson, Angela Griffin and Ed Barney. The newest members, Peterson and Wilson, were sworn in December 13 along with Moore, who was reelected.
