District Launches Facebook Page and Twitter Feed
Federal Way Public Schools has a new Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/fwps210, and we're inviting fans and feedback from all of FWPS (and beyond) to help us make the page a vibrant and vital part of our online presence.
The FWPS Facebook page will provide another way to share the great things happening in our district, through a medium that many of our students and parents already spend their time viewing. However, in order to comply with the state's archiving requirements and to preserve the district's branding, the page will direct the reader back to the district website for the "rest of the story." In addition to launching the Facebook page, we have set up a Twitter account in order to further spread the news! You can follow us on Twitter -- look for us @fwps210
We encourage staff, students, families and community members to "like" our Facebook page, as with all Facebook pages, this will connect you with others having the same interest.
The focus of the FWPS Facebook page is primarily toward students, parents/guardians, and community members, but we also think the content and information shared there will be of interest to staff. Non-English speaking families can set their mobile devices or computers to their language.
Please let us know if you have questions or feedback to share about the page, and please encourage parents/guardians, students, and community members to friend FWPS on Facebook by providing the link on your school websites and in your school newsletters.
