The Family/Community Partnerships Office will:
- Provide relevant, current research-based information & resources for supporting student success through staff/family partnerships (Administrative Training Institute, Continuous Learning Center)
- Facilitate conversations and support to help staff brainstorm/implement meaningful ways to integrate family engagement strategies and partnerships on the school level on district-level committees
- Provide “What Every Teacher Wants to Know” sessions to give teachers the opportunity to ask questions and collaborate with the department on ways to effectively link family engagement to learning
- Provide community partners, leaders, speakers and mentors for students and school/family events and activities
- Provide facilitation/conflict support and training for effectively resolving complex family/school interactions
- Develop customized workshop, trainings and partnerships as requested by school staff

- Connect staff to local, regional, state and national resources designed to strengthen and expand effective partnership efforts for student success

Puget Sound Educational Service District, Governor’s Education Ombudsman Office, Center for the Improvement of Student Learning, US Dept of ED Region X
- Coordinate and or support training and district-level collaboration opportunities for parent/school Leadership team members

The Family/Community Partnerships Office will:
- Provide relevant, current research-based information & resources for supporting student success, parent leadership and family partnerships through individual appointments, small group sessions, workshops, community/neighborhood outreach
- Coordinate and facilitate informal Question and Answer sessions (‘What Every Parent Wants to Know’ workshop), in partnership with school staff and parent leaders
- Provide support for and raise awareness of effective parent partnership practices linked to student learning on the school, district and community level
- Connect parents to partner advocates that provide practical information on ways to support student success and partner with schools.

- Establish teams and networks of support focused on expanding success levels for student achievement.

Neighborhood parent Groups/Wraparound Support, “Born Leaders Parent Network”
- Provide school-based facilitation support and training for effectively resolving complex family/school conversations
- Connect parents to local, regional, state and national resources designed to strengthen and expand effective partnership efforts for student success
