About Our Community

The city of Federal Way, with more than 87,000 residents, is a true melting pot of traditional and new American cultures. We are eight miles north of Tacoma and 25 miles south of Seattle.

The school district’s service area includes portions of three other cities – Des Moines, Auburn and Kent – and areas of unincorporated King County. The population of the district’s service area totals about 120,000.
